Finishing the Year Together

This week, we wrapped up our final mentor circles across our campuses. In the middle of all the excitement that comes with the end of the school year, it was meaningful to slow down and spend one last intentional moment together with our students.

We shared a meal, laughed together, reflected on the year, and celebrated how much growth we’ve seen in each student over the past months.

To close out the year, each of our Circle Leaders wrote handwritten notes for the students in their groups. One by one, students opened words of encouragement written specifically for them—simple reminders that they are seen, valued, and deeply cared for.

As we handed out the notes, we encouraged students that we are proud of their growth. We named the good we see in them: their resilience, honesty, leadership, humor, kindness, and courage. We also challenged them to continue living into the good they can bring to their schools, families, and communities.

These final moments reminded us why this work matters so much. Long after the discussions end and the school year closes, students carry with them the truth that there are people who believe in them and are committed to their future.

And that’s our hope—that every student walks away knowing they are capable of bringing hope, peace, and goodness into the world around them.
